This bike tour offers the unique opportunity Northern Italy by bike along the river Po, the longest Italian river. After a day entirely at your disposal to explore the Magic of Venice To discover, start in the Venetian lagoon to cycle where Chioggia famous for its fish market. The route then meanders along the natural course of the river and delves into largely untouched rural areas, such as the Po Delta Nature Reserve with its extensive flora and fauna. During the tour you will also get to know important cities such as Ferrara, the "city of cyclists", or the old port city of Adria, which gave its name to the Adriatic Sea. At the end of the tour you will reach the beautiful Renaissance city mantua, where, thanks to the Gonzaga family, numerous artists left their works of art. After an off-the-beaten-path stroll with your guide, you'll have the day free to enjoy the city at your own pace. For centuries, the Serenissima ruled much of the Mediterranean (and beyond), both as a military power and a beacon of culture, and its explorers reached as far afield as China and Newfoundland. Dinner in Venice not included.

You start with a visit to a historic glassblowing workshop on the island of Murano, where you will be shown the centuries-old art of glassblowing. This is the most magical day of the whole tour, as you cycling through the two long islands that separate the lagoon from the Adriatic SeaFrom the Lido, one of the most impressive beach resorts of the Adriatic and seat of the international Filmfestivals, cycle south to malamoccoThe small town was the first seat of the Doges of the Republic of Venice. A short boat trip takes you to the Pellestrina Island with its picturesque fishermen's houses. You reach the ship not far from Chioggia, a lively and colourful fishing port.

Sie werden Pelletrine and then Chioggia, the so-called “little Venice”, towards the south, the Po-Brondolo along and over the mouth of the Adige. After walking through the extensive flora and fauna of the Po Delta have cycled, you will city of Adria, formerly an ancient Greek port.

After a short boat trip in the morning, you cycle through nature towards Ferrara, which has earned the name "City of Cyclists" You will be surrounded by the beautiful historic center with its mighty ring of walls You will definitely be enchanted. In the afternoon, a short bus transfer to Zelowhere the ship is waiting for you.
Overnight place: Zelo
After a few kilometres of cycling you will reach Bergantino, where you can visit the “Museum of the Carousel and the Folk Theatre” and enjoy a tasting in a cheese factory. You cycle along the Po to Ostiglia, a small town with medieval castle ruins, and then to GovernoloHere you will find the largest river basin in Italy. You will then leave the river Po and finally reach mantua in the late afternoon.
Overnight place: mantua
A day dedicated to discovering this cultural gem and its three picturesque lakes. In the late afternoon, you will be accompanied by a guide through the city: From the Piazza Sordello with its magnificent cathedral and the Ducal Palace From here we go through the old town to the Piazza delle ErbeHere you will see the bell tower, the Rotonda di S. Lorenzo (the oldest church in the city) and the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, a jewel of Renaissance art and architecture. You will also learn why Mantua, once a city-state of the Gonzaga family, today referred to by many as the "Sleeping Beauty of Italy". (Program changes are possible)

Venice is connected to the following airports: Venice: 10 km, Treviso: 30 km, Verona: 110 km, Bergamo: 240 km, Milan: 310 km.
From Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE): Take the Alilaguna vaporetto blue line to Zattere. From there, take vaporetto line 2 to Redentore. Alternatively, take the ATVO shuttle bus to Venice Piazzale Roma (approx. 20 minutes). From there, take the vaporetto to Redentore.
From Trieste Ronchi dei Legionari Airport (TRS): Take the ATVO shuttle bus from the airport to Venice Piazzale Roma (approx. 1,5 hours). From there, take the vaporetto to the "Redentore." From Verona Villafranca Catullo Airport (VRN): Take the shuttle bus from the airport to Verona Porta Nuova Station (approx. 15 minutes). From there, take the train to Venice Santa Lucia (approx. 1,5/2 hours).
From Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (BGY): Shuttle bus from the airport to Brescia train station (approx. 1 hour). From there, take the train to Venezia Santa Lucia with a change in Verona Porta Nuova (approx. 1,5/2,5 hours).

AVE MARIA
The Ave Maria is a comfortable river cruise ship made in Italy, built with innovative concepts and materials chosen with aesthetics and comfort in mind. It is also a small ship, able to navigate under low bridges and on shallow water, typical of Italian waterways. The ship was custom-made from the hull of a dredger from the Po river. All this in strict compliance with the new and stricter safety and environmental protection standards. The Ave Maria is an "eco-sustainable" ship, as energy is saved on board, waste water is purified and navigation does not cause damage to the banks.

For organizational reasons, weather conditions, or local authority regulations, some itinerary changes may occur before and/or during your trip. High and low tides, as well as logistical obstacles such as (unforeseeable) maintenance work on bridges or locks, may alter daily routes or moorings, and may even require a bus transfer. This decision rests solely with the captain.
