Day 2: Mainz - Ruedesheim, about 35 km
The beautiful first cycle route takes you through gentle vineyards and well-known wine-growing villages. Here the Rhine still flows comfortably and expands its bed to a width of up to 800 m! You can plan worthwhile detours (+ 14 km) to the half-timbered town of Eltville and to Eberbach Abbey. In Rüdesheim you should take the opportunity to taste wine, stroll through the world-famous Drosselgasse or take a relaxing ride on the cable car to the Niederwald monument.

Magnificent castles greet you along the way. And of course you should climb the Loreley. A hiking trail leads up and gives you a beautiful view of the narrowest point in the romantic Rhine Valley.

Day 4: St Goar - Koblenz, about 36 km
The route continues in the narrow Rhine valley to Boppard. It's turbulent here, but you can also take the chairlift to the Four Lakes View and escape to the wooded, quiet heights. Or visit the well-preserved Marksburg Castle and Stolzenfels Castle on the way to the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz.

Day 5: Koblenz - Bad Breisig, about 35 km
Even today, the castles and palaces on the Rhine are your faithful companions. Be it in Sayn and Neuwied, in Andernach or Namedy and also in Brohl and Bad Breisig, the palaces and castles look forward to your visit. You can let yourself drift along the flat Rhine cycle path and even find time to relax at the end of the day in the "Römer Thermen" thermal baths in Bad Breisig.

Day 6: Bad Breisig - Bonn, about 32 km
Today it is worth stopping in Remagen in the morning, where the former towers of the famous bridge on the bank protrude and today house a Peace Museum worth seeing. In Bad Honnef, the pedestrian zone and the market square with many cafes invite you to take a break, or you can visit the island of Grafenwerth, which lies in the middle of the Rhine with lush meadows and old trees and is considered a relaxation paradise. On your further way, the Siebengebirge moves close to the river and in Königswinter you can take the oldest cog railway in Germany up to the "legendary" Drachenfels and enjoy the view. Finally, Bonn also attracts with numerous sights and museums, and so you can organize a varied day individually.
