Day 1: Arrival in Mainz
Arrive on your own. Come to Mainz in good time today! Not only the Roman-Germanic Central Museum, the Gutenberg Museum, the Imperial Cathedral and the Electoral Palace are worth a long visit.

Day 2: Mainz - Rüdesheim, approx. 35-49 km
Welcome to the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley! The beautiful first cycle route takes you through gentle vineyards and well-known wine-growing villages. Here the Rhine still flows gently, forming small romantic islands and expanding its bed to a width of up to 800 m! You can plan worthwhile detours to the half-timbered town of Eltville and to Eberbach Abbey (+ 14 km). In Rüdesheim you should take the opportunity to taste wine, stroll through the world-famous Drosselgasse or take a relaxing ride on the cable car to the Niederwald monument.

Day 3: Ruedesheim - St Goar, about 34 km
Magnificent castles greet you along the way. And of course you should climb the Loreley. A hiking trail leads up and gives you a beautiful view of the narrowest point in the romantic Rhine Valley.

Day 4: St Goar - Koblenz, about 36 km
The route continues in the narrow Rhine valley to Boppard. It's turbulent here. You can also take the chairlift to the Vier-Seen-Blick in the wooded, quiet heights. Or visit Stolzenfels Castle, a magnificent piece of Prussian Rhine Romanticism, on the way to the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz.
