DAY 1 : Arrival in Frankfurt
DAY 2 : Off to the Rheingau approx. 65 km
Cycle relaxed from Frankfurt along the banks of the Main and Rhine towards the vineyards. In the famous Rheingau wine villages you can let yourself be seduced by the Riesling.
DAY 3: The wine country of the Nahe approx. 31 km
A small detour takes you to the popular World Heritage Site of Rüdesheim. With the gondola you can float to the Niederwald monument. In the afternoon explore the wine country along the Nahe. 31 km
DAY 4: Through Rheinhessen to Alzey approx. 40 km
In front of you is a charming cycle route through Rheinhessen with many wine villages and a landscape that has little to do with tourism.
DAY 5:Rheinhessen & Palatinate approx. 48 km
From Rheinhessen, the largest wine-growing region in Germany, you cycle on to the Palatinate, the second largest wine region. Here you will find carefree joie de vivre, Mediterranean climate and rich pleasures.
DAY 6 : Along the Palatinate Wine Route approx. 25 km
Today you cycle through the Palatinate to the romantic village of Rodt unter Rietburg. Small houses with picturesque vine-covered courtyards characterize the place. In the footsteps of King Ludwig I, you end the day at the enchanting Villa Ludwigshöhe.
DAY 7: From Rhodt to Heidelberg approx. 52 km
Today you can visit the Speyer Cathedral (UNESCO) and the glamorous palace gardens of Schwetzingen. You end the day in Heidelberg, the charming city on the Neckar, which is worth a journey of its own.
DAY 8 : Departure from Heidelberg
Optionally, you can book a transfer back to Frankfurt.
