Experiencing Germany's largest island by bike means getting to know the diverse character of its landscape and attractions away from the main traffic routes. The cliffs of the "Jasmund" with the chalk cliffs that the famous painter Caspar David Friedrich captured on canvas, the mountainous forest areas in all their uniqueness, old avenues, early stone graves, massive brick churches, the classicist town of Putbus, beaches and bays that invite you to dream.

On their own. The city's highlights are the beautiful harbor island with OZEANEUM, the Gorch Fock 1, the Old Market with the impressive town hall and the old town with its pretty Gothic gabled houses.
Overnight place: Stralsund
By Rügens south you drive to Putbus, once a princely residence, characterized by the classical architectural style. Continue along the romantic Stresow Bay to the seaside resorts.
Overnight place: Sellin, Binz, Baabe or surrounding areas
From the seaside resorts of Sellin/Binz your journey goes past Prora to Sassnitz. On the way, the natural heritage center lures with treetop walk and various museums in the colossus of Prora. Sassnitz harbor is your intermediate destination. Lively hustle and bustle, fishing boats and the backdrop of the old town with its resort architecture have their charm. It continues up to the Königsstuhl and the chalk cliffs. The view of the Baltic Sea is impressive. You leave Jasmund via Lietzow and cycle on to your stage destination in Bergen.
Overnight place: mountains or the surrounding area
From Bergen you cycle back through the west of the island Stralsund. On the edge you pass the national park Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft. In Rambin the beer garden of the Insel brewery and the Pommernkate attract visitors who would like to taste or experience regional specialties. Delivery of the rental bikes in the afternoon Stralsund (if booked). Travel home on your own or an extension in Stralsund.
