Around Lake Constance from/to Lindau (9 days)

In Bregenz, the picturesque capital of Vorarlberg, you will find a variety of attractions. You will reach Switzerland through the nature reserve of the Rhine Delta and cycle on to Rorschach with the most beautiful Kornhaus (museum). Fruit and berry crops still dominate in this area.

On the southern shore of Lake Constance, the landscape of Thurgau spreads out over gentle hills. Small villages and fruit plantations accompany you along the way. Cider and wine presses offer unusual wines and farm and monastery shops surprise you with delicious temptations.

Through picturesque fishing villages along the Untersee you reach the medieval town of Stein am Rhein. Hohenklingen Castle, which dates back to the Middle Ages, towers high above the old town. Visit the Lindwurm Museum before cycling on to Gailingen - the pearl of the Upper Rhine.

The Höri peninsula lies between Stein am Rhein and Radolfzell. Numerous artists such as Otto Dix, Hermann Hesse and Helmuth Macke have given it the name “artists’ landscape”. End the day with a stroll through Radolfzell’s old town.

The charming town of Bodman attracts visitors with its castle park. Pass through picturesque Sipplingen and the Birnau monastery church. In Unteruhldingen we recommend a visit to the pile dwelling museum.

Meersburg, the museum town, invites you back to the Middle Ages with its romantic corners. A special highlight is Meersburg Castle, the oldest inhabited castle in Germany. Your route takes you through wine and fruit cultures to the Zeppelin town of Friedrichshafen.
