Today you'll enjoy a leisurely cycle along the Kiel Canal and continue through tranquil agricultural landscapes towards the Schlei fjord. In Schleswig, you'll find St. Peter's Cathedral and the historic Holm fishing quarter. The proximity to the water is a defining feature of the landscape.
The route follows the Schlei fjord and winds through the gently rolling landscape of Angeln. Small villages, manor houses, and expansive views accompany you to the fjord city of Flensburg. The historic old town with its merchants' houses and the harbor are particularly worth seeing.
A particularly scenic day along the Baltic coast and the Flensburg Fjord. Cliffs, beaches, and small coastal towns alternate before you reach the Schlei again. Kappeln delights with its maritime flair, drawbridge, and museum harbor.
They follow the Schlei fjord to its mouth and continue cycling along the Baltic Sea coast. The route offers magnificent views of the sea, natural beaches, and tranquil bays. Eckernförde welcomes you with its long beach promenade and lively harbor.
This stage leads mostly along the coast to Kiel. There are frequent views of the Kiel Fjord and the passing ships. Enjoy the vibrant maritime atmosphere of Schleswig-Holstein's capital city.
The final leg leads first along the Kiel Fjord and then through the gently rolling hedgerow landscape of Schleswig-Holstein back to Rendsburg.
