After the first ascent of today's stage, enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view. It continues over the fire steps to the balcony of Saxon Switzerland, the fire. Passing Hohnstein Castle and the Amselsee you reach the spa town of Rathen.

Your day begins with a climb to the Bastei rock formation and the famous Bastei Bridge. The trail continues through the Höllengrund and Wehlener Grund valleys to the town of Wehlen. From there, you hike back to Rathen via the Rauenstein table mountain, or continue on to Königstein (depending on hotel availability).

After spending the night in Rathen, you climb via Weißig to Königstein Fortress, the largest fortress in Europe. After crossing the town of Königsteins, you take comfortable forest paths to Pfaffenstein with the famous Barbarine rock pinnacle. Enjoy a beautiful view of the famous Lilienstein. Via the Muselweg you will soon reach the pretty health resort of Gohrisch, which is in a quiet, wooded location.

Today's breathtaking hike takes you from Gohrisch to Lilienstein, the landmark of Saxon Switzerland.

The region around Gohrisch is known as the "Realm of Stones." After a leisurely warm-up across the plateau, the route leads first to the Gohrisch and then to the Papstein. You'll pass the Kleinhennersor caves and, shortly before reaching Krippen, enter the Liethen valley with its old mill.
Overnight place: Nativity scenes or Bad Schandau
Today you hike to the Schrammsteine. There are some steep climbs and metal stairs to overcome here. You walk on forest paths along the Affensteig and then follow the Malerweg to the Lichtenhain waterfall. From here you can take the bus or the traditional Kirnitzschtalbahn (excl.) to Bad Schandau.
