Day 1: Arrival in Saarbrücken
Stroll through Saarbrücken with its French flair, marvel at the fine confectionery shops, the St. Johann market with many pubs, bistros and restaurants, the old baroque houses and noble antique shops. An early arrival is worthwhile, the rental bikes are already at the hotel.

Day 2: Saarbruecken - Mettlach, about 59 km
You cycle quickly on the Saar cycle path through the former coal mining area to Völklingen. You simply have to make a stopover here, because the “Völklingen Ironworks” is one of the 33 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Germany! A visit to the Völklingen Ironworks is like an adventure: deep into the dark corridors of the Möllerhalle and high up to the viewing platform at the blast furnace. Then follow the well-developed Saar cycle path through the beautiful Merzig region to the impressive Saar loop near Mettlach. Swap the bike for the walking shoes and walk up to the Cloef viewpoint. Only 30 minutes and the view of the Saar loop is simply breathtaking!
Day 3: Mettlach - Trier, about 42 km
Today you cycle leisurely along the Saar Cycle Path through a densely wooded area to Saarburg, where the castle towers majestically over the winding streets. Guided by the traces of the Romans, you cycle via Konz to Trier. Look forward to an individual tour of the historic city center, the Imperial Baths and the Porta Nigra.
Day 4: Trier - Piesport, about 46 km
There is a lot to see on the Moselle cycle path today: in Mehring the ruins of the Villa Rustica, in Trittenheim an educational wine trail that provides information about the working year of a vintner, local grape varieties and vine cultivation. And Neumagen-Dhron attracts the oldest wine village in Germany!

Day 5: Piesport - Traben-Trarbach, about 40 km
o Famous Moselle towns such as Bernkastel Kues and Traben-Trarbach and the well-known wine-growing region "Kröver Nacktarsch" crown today. Marvel at the colourful, varied half-timbered houses on the picture book market square in Bernkastel-Kues, and enjoy architectural treasures from Art Nouveau and the Belle Époque in Traben-Trarbach.

Day 6: Traben-Trarbach - Cochem, about 56 km
Today you will discover Enkirch, a gem of Moselle half-timbered architecture, and Zell, the wine village with the "Zeller Schwarzen Katz". Take a worthwhile break in the small Beilstein, which proudly bears the nickname "Rothenburg an der Mosel", and look forward to Cochem with its picturesque center and the old Reichsburg.
Day 7: Cochem - Koblenz, about 49 km
Today, a detour to the medieval Eltz Castle is tempting, before the Moselle cycle path takes you to wine-growing villages worth seeing, such as Kobern-Gondorf and Winningen, and finally to the Deutsch sche Eck. Enjoy the wide view of the magnificent Rhine Valley and look forward to a nice evening in Koblenz.
Day 8: Departure from Koblenz
Your cycle tour ends today in the heart of Koblenz. Return journey on your own or return transfer in a minibus.
