On their own. Welcome to the city of palaces and gardens. In addition to Sanssouci Palace, the Cecilienhof and the New Palace also attract culture-loving visitors. It's easy to get around the city by bike. For example, you can use the Filmstudios in Babelsberg (own management) and a visit to Sanssouci Palace (own management).

Overnight place: Potsdam

Today's stage leads from Potsdam to the oldest town in Brandenburg and the cradle of the Mark to Brandenburg along the Havel. Tranquil Haveld villages with village churches are on the way. Follow the course of the Havel, which flows through many lakes on your way to Brandenburg.

Overnight place: Brandenburg

Today it goes around the Schwielowsee to the well-known Brandenburg fruit-growing area Werder. Use the time to make a detour to the weaving museum in Geltow (on your own). Arriving in Werder, a visit to the island city is a must. As a conclusion, we recommend a visit to the fruit growing museum.

Ideas

We really enjoyed the tour. Mostly we drove on well-developed bike paths. Only a few sections led over roads. The accommodation in both hotels was very attractive and also with storage space for the bicycles. It would be better if the arrival would not take place on Sunday. Unfortunately, museums and exhibitions have no or only limited opening hours on Mondays and sometimes also on Tuesdays. Everything else is highly recommended.

The trip was great. The Congress Hotel Potsdam is basically a good hotel and is well located, but it is also a "conference hotel" with the appropriate "business atmosphere". The route description for the 2nd day of the trip could have been a little more detailed (like for day 1)
