The Oder-Neiße-Bicycleweg is Germany's easternmost long-distance cycle route. From the Zittau Mountains you follow the course of two German border rivers between Germany and Poland on their way to the Szczecin Lagoon. In Brandenburg, the Oder takes the place of the Neisse. It now flows calmly to the north.

Along the romantic Neisse to Ostriz. The oldest German Cistercian convent can be visited here. Cycle on to Görlitz, whose historic old town was almost completely spared from the destruction of World War II.

You cycle through typical heathland villages and pass Rothenburg on the way. In Bad Muskau, the Fürst-Pückler-Park with its orangery and palace on both sides of the Neisse invites you to visit.

In Forst you can marvel at over 800 varieties of roses in the East German Rose Garden. You cycle through Lower Lusatia with numerous lakes, extensive forests and the typical heath[1]landscape and reach Guben as your destination for the day.

The Neisse flows into the Oder shortly after Guben. The highlight of the day is the Neuzelle monastery with the baroque collegiate church of St. Marien. Via Eisenhüttenstadt, the first "planned city" of the former GDR, you reach the old university town of Frankfurt/Oder.

Today you leave the Kleist city of Frankfurt and embark on a sporty stage through the natural paradise of Oderbruch.
Overnight place: Groß Neuendorf or Altlewin
You cycle through the Lower Oder Valley National Park to the Lenné Landscape Park and on to Schwedt/Oder
Overnight place: Schwedt
Enjoy the last few kilometers through the untouched nature and the extensive meadows of the Lower Oder Valley. From Gartz the path now leads you through a hilly landscape to Löcknitz.
Overnight place: Penkun or Loecknitz
On the way you will experience extensive heath landscapes[1] and the picturesque shores of the Uecker and the adjacent Szczecin Lagoon. The pretty old town and the romantic port of Ueckermünde are a worthwhile destination
Overnight place: Ueckermünde
In the morning you cycle from Ueckermünde to the Kamp ferry terminal, where you can catch the emission-free ferry in a few minutes Usedom takes. The Green Island awaits you with its wooded paths and wide sandy beaches.
