Star Tour Lake Maggiore

You start from the hotel towards Locarno. Here along the beach promenade to the Magadino plain. The paths lead past small forests and large agricultural areas to the capital of the canton of Ticino: Bellinzona. In this city there are many castles, hidden places and the old city walls waiting to be discovered. After a short rest, we go past dreamy little towns back to Losone.

Overnight place: like the day before in Losone

Today's discovery trip takes you first to the center of Ascona. Here you park your bikes and take the ferry to the Brissago Islands. Here, over 1 species of plants bloom in a botanical garden. Back on land, the tour takes you away from the lively city center along small side streets towards the Centovallis. Before entering the valley, you drive up a short climb to a sleepy Ticino village before making your way back to Losone.

Overnight place: like the day before in Losone

The Maggia makes its way through the Alps for over 50 kilometers until it ultimately flows into Lake Maggiore. We pass the wonderful waterfall at Monte Brolla, deep into this idyllic valley. The destination of today's stage is the small town of Maggia with the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, which impresses with its frescoes. 

By bike to Locarno. From here you can take the train to Melide. Lake Lugano is in no way inferior to Lage Maggiore. Italian Dolce Vita, colorful villages with the typical stone church towers and even palm trees can be discovered here. A wonderful tour in this area concludes your cycling week.
