Day 1: Arrival in Losone
Arrive on your own.
Overnight in Losone
Day 2: Excursion to Bellinzona, approx. 55 km
Your first stage runs in the direction of Locarno. Cycle along the beach promenade to the Magdadino plain. Passing small forests and large agricultural areas you reach the capital of the canton of Ticino: Bellinzona. Here you can discover the castles, the hidden squares and the old city walls. After a short rest, we pass dreamy towns and return to Losone.

Day 3: Round tour of Ascona, excursion to the Brissago Islands, approx. 20 km
First cycle to the center of Ascona. From here you take the ferry (without wheels) to the Brissago Islands. 1.700 plant species bloom here in the botanical garden. Back on land, the tour takes you away from the lively city center via small back roads towards the Centovalli. Now you first have to pedal hard to get to the sleepy Ticino village before you make your way back to Losone.

Day 4: Excursion to the Maggia Valley, approx. 30 km
Cycle today past the wonderful waterfall at Monte Brolla to your destination, the small town of Maggia with the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Experience the wide land of the Maggia, which runs more than 50 km through the Alps until it finally flows into Lake Maggiore.

Day 5: Excursion to Lugano, approx. 25 km
By bike to Locarno. From here you can take the train to Melide. Lake Lugano is in no way inferior to Lage Maggiore. Italian Dolce Vita, colorful villages with the typical stone church towers and even palm trees can be discovered here. A wonderful tour in this area concludes your cycling week.
