Today's tour takes you right into the heart of the Münsterland. You cycle on small, mostly paved farm roads through the typical park landscape with its fields, pastures, forests and hedgerows. Your first destination is the "Haus Rüschhaus", which has served as the poet's residence since 1826 and today, as the Droste Museum, invites you to hourly guided tours. Past the Vögeding house, the cycle route then continues to Hülshoff Castle, one of the most romantic moated castles in Westphalia, which is surrounded by a moat and extensive parks. The museum there provides insights into the lifestyle of the Münster nobility in the times of classicism and Biedermeier. After so much culture in your luggage, you can fortify yourself in the café in the courtyard before the route finally leads back to Münster via Roxel. Here you can pay a visit to the city museum (Tue - Sun) in the afternoon and learn more about the history of the Westphalian metropolis in an informative and original way.
