Nahe, like nowhere else, Sweden can be reached by ferry almost on the doorstep.
On their own. Helsingør is a charming town steeped in history and a well-known ferry port to Helsingborg, Sweden. The Swedish coast is only 4 km away. If rental bikes have been booked, they will be available at the arrival hotel.

The Strandweg leads to the Kronburg, where Holger Danske watches over the Danes and played Shakespeare's Hamlet. Reason enough to visit the fortress (on your own) at Øresund.
The journey continues along the coast and beaches of North Zealand to Hornbæk.
The route takes you inland to Esrom Monastery, once a Cistercian monastery and now a museum. Passing Gurre Sø with the castle and castle ruins, we return to Helsingør.

This circular tour is almost 40 km long and offers you two special highlights. Once the Fredensborg Castle, and the Louisiana Art Museum of Modern Art. For both you need time and leisure. Fredensborg is the Danish Versailles with a baroque garden and can be visited (on your own). The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is about contemporary art and classical modernism. A special place because of the location by the sea, not only the view of the picture, but also the view over the Øresund can be enchanting. Cycle along the coast back to the hotel.

In the morning you travel by train directly to the center of Copenhagen - destination Copenhagen Central Station. Just opposite is the amusement park Tivoli. Perhaps the Strøget, Copenhagen's shopping mile, the Round Tower, Nyhavn and the Little Mermaid will lure you. All spots mentioned are in the vicinity and can be reached on foot. The return journey takes you on cycle paths out of town along the coast, also through forest and past many beautiful places that the road to Helsingør has plenty to offer.

In the morning we cycle to the port. (approx. 5 km) You can take the ferry to Helsingborg in Sweden. Here you can explore the city. Here the historic market place Stortorget and the Kärnan - a tower from the top of which you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view. Continue to Fredriksdal Open Air Museum and Sofiero Castle. Art lovers will get their money's worth at the Dunkers Kulturhus. A bike ride along the coast completes the day. About 30 km in Sweden and back by ferry and bike ride back to the hotel (about 5 km).

After breakfast, you will travel home on your own. Rental bikes remain in the hotel.
