You cycle to Copenhagen on beautiful paths, mostly along the bay. Copenhagen is considered to be one of the most bicycle-friendly cities around.
Centuries of history and modernity meet here. The city has a lot to offer and a longer stay is worthwhile. You can return comfortably by train (on your own).

You start your second cycling stage by train to Copenhagen. You cycle through the former hunting grounds of the Danish kings in Dyrehaven in Klampenborg. Idyllic landscapes and forests will enchant you before your route leads to the coast. You follow this to Helsingør, always accompanied by beautiful beaches that invite you to take a dip in the cool water. When in Helsingør, you should definitely visit Kronborg Castle. But the old port city has much more to offer. Give yourself plenty of time before you take the leisurely train ride back to Køge
(on their own).

Your cycle tour to Roskilde leads partly along the bay and inland. Completely car-free cycle paths take you to historic Roskilde, whose cathedral can be seen from afar and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995. The sarcophagi and tombs, in which 38 Danish kings and queens were laid to rest, make the church something special. An extensive network of cycle paths takes you back to Køge. Alternatively, you can easily return by train (on your own)..

Experience the cliffs of Stevns Klint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its rare geological formation. It contains the ash layer from a meteorite impact that is believed to have ended the life of dinosaurs on Earth 66 million years ago.
