To "run in" a tour through the marsh landscape in the "Dutch town" Friedrichstadt with its canals and old town houses worth seeing.

From the North Sea coast it goes inland to Schleswig on the Schlei. The first section through the Treene lowlands is flat to slightly hilly. Once Schleswig has been reached, the Schlei and the Haitabu Viking Museum in Fahrdorf near Schleswig beckon. You can take the regional train back on your own. You can return along the Danewerk, a medieval rampart from the Viking Age via Ellingstedt and Hollingstedt to Husum.

You can take the train to St. Peter Ording on your own. Sea baths and the wide beaches in front of the holiday resort should be used for a walk on the beach. Then you start the return journey and cycle past Westerhever with its lighthouse and the wide Wadden Sea to the side. On the way to Husum there is also an opportunity to visit an old Frisian farm, the red Haubarg.

The Nordstrand peninsula is practically on Husum's doorstep. Today's tour takes you there. The anecdote of the coffee specialty "Pharisaeer", a coffee with rum and cream, which has its origins there, is well known. If possible, they can have a cup at a historical location in the Pharisäerhof and let the story melt in their mouths.
