The Aueweg leads through meadows and fields over the Fintau to Wintermoor. On the southern edge of the Höpen local recreation area, on a hill, is the festival site for the Heath Blossom Festival, which takes place every year at the end of August. In a show garden designed as a heather circle you will find 130 different types of heather with around 120.000 plants, so that the diversity of the blooming heather can be admired all year round.

Past Walter Peters Park to Zahrensen. Continue through the Veerse valley to the watermill in Lünzen. The mill, which was first mentioned in 1587, ran until the end of the 70s, using steam, diesel and electric motors for the last 70 years. One of the original two water wheels has been removed and can be visited. In the municipality of Fintel, it is worth taking a tour of the typical heath village. Return via Haswede and Osterwede to Schneverdingen.

The train takes you to Soltau (tickets included, takes approx. 15 minutes). Soltau impresses with a town hall and the North German Toy Museum, which are well worth seeing. You can reach the historical site of Wieheholz by bike, where the military event of June 28, 1519 will be clearly explained to you in a shelter. We continue through the southern Osterheide to Hof Möhr. The heather farm was operated until 1977. There is a church in Wolderdingen with a long history that was extensively restored in 2000. We return to the starting point through the Böhmheide forest area.
Overnight place: Schneverdingen
In the small forest settlement, it is worth taking a break in the forest adventure center "Ehrhorn 1", a restored former heath farm. From Wilsede, the route goes through forest and heath areas to Niederhaverbeck and from there through the Haverbeeke valley back to Schneverdingen.
