Individual arrival in Mukran to the ferry center on your own.
You board the ferry independently with your luggage (and bicycles, if applicable). After approximately 3,5 hours on the ferry (excluding bicycles), you will reach Rønne on Bornholm.

Alternatively, you can also travel from Copenhagen by taking the Bornholmerbus. This bus runs directly from the terminal at Copenhagen International Airport (Kastrup) via the central station and the Øresund Bridge across Sweden to Ystad. In Ystad, the bus transfers to the fast ferry to Rønne. The journey takes approximately 3,5 hours.

Our guest coordinator will handle your luggage and provide tour information at the ferry. Rental bikes will be handed over at the port or at your starting hotel in Rønne.

Overnight place: Ronne

You cycle through the largely flat south of the island on comfortable bike paths to the east side of the island. An intermediate destination can be the picturesque Boderne and the sand dunes of Dueodde before you reach your domicile in Balka or Svaneke. You will stay in one of the hotels for three nights.

Overnight place: Balka or Svaneke

Little Scandinavia can be found in the landscape of the Paradisbakkerne, as the paradise hills are called in Danish. The bike can also be parked there and a short tour through a high moor can be undertaken. Almindingen is not a place on Rügen but a communal forest. There is the highest point on the island, Rytterknægten. Not far from here, towards Aakirkeby, explore Echotal, a granite outcrop that clearly traces a geological line from Granite Island to the southern sand or flat part of the island left over from the Ice Age. In Aakirkeby you can deepen what you have seen so far in the museum "NaturBornholm". Or treat yourself to a Wienerbrød with coffee at the bakery on the market. The journey goes back to the hotel via Pedersker.

Overnight place: Overnight stay like the day before in Balka or Svaneke

You follow the ups and downs of the coast to Gudhjem. The cycle path is very easy to cycle, but the landscape is hillier than the south. On the way you should make a stop at Hvide hus, which has a beautiful hydrangea garden behind the house.
The glass blowing workshop of Baltic Sea Glass is also on the way. There you can admire Danish glassmaking art in a former chicken coop. Then it goes inland up to Østerlars, where one of the four round churches on Bornholm stands, which are usually also open to the public. The view from one of the church gable windows over the island and the Baltic Sea is one of the many rewards of the trip. You cross the Paradisbakkerne again in a north-south direction back to your hotel.

Overnight place: Overnight stay like the day before in Balka or Svaneke

If you don't want to cycle all the way, take the island bus on your own. He drives according to plan and always takes cyclists with him. Our suggestion takes you to Gudhjem, where you get off the bus and start cycling. The Helligsdom cliffs are reached in a moment. The Bornholm Art Museum attracts with its permanent exhibition of Bornholm genre painting with local artists such as Kristian Zahrtmann, who could be called the Danish equivalent of Caspar David Friedrich. Furthermore, old stone settings along the way from the time of the Vikings and the earlier Bronze Age can be admired not far from the Stammershalle. The highlight in the north is Hammershus Fortress, a ruined castle on the cliffs behind Sandvig. The view over the Baltic Sea is spectacular and when the view is clear you can see the coast of Skåne to the north. In Hasle you should taste a fish of your choice in the smokehouse. There is traditionally smoked over beech wood chips. In Rønne you have reached your destination and circumnavigated the island once.

Overnight place: Ronne

In the morning it is time to say goodbye to Bornholm. You cycle with your own bikes or the rental bikes to the ferry terminal to collect your luggage there. You can hand in rental bikes to the guest advisor. Then it's back to the island by ferry (incl.). Rügen. Your journey ends after the ferry arrives at Mukran Ferry Port. Please note that we do not offer luggage service when boarding/leaving the ferry. You carry your luggage from the ferry about 100m out of the terminal area. The journey home is at your own expense.
