The journey goes straight through Esens to the North Sea coast to Bensersiel.
In Bensersiel there is the possibility to take the ferry to Langeoog on your own and explore the island by bike. If you visit Langeoog and come back after your day's stay, you can cycle back to Esens and Wittmund on the short route or take the train (on your own) from Esens to shorten the journey (approx. 26-35 km).
Those who do not visit Langeoog follow the cycle path along the dyke past salt marshes from Bensersiel to Dornumersiel, then back on tranquil paths through the open pasture landscape of the Harlinger Land to Wittmund (approx. 62 km).

You cycle a short distance to the neighboring town of Jever. Here you have the opportunity to visit the brewery and, of course, to taste beer. Anyone with a cultural interest in the East Friesland region will find interesting information on this subject in the Jever Castle Museum. After culture and beer you cycle via Cleverns on beautiful paths through the marsh lowlands through meadows and pastures back to Wittmund.

Today you cycle to the North Sea coast to Neuharlingersiel, the ferry port to the island of Spiekeroog. Spiekeroog can also be visited on your own for a day trip. Since the ferry docks right there, you can also leave your bike in Neuharlingersiel and walk through the village of Spiekeroog and go swimming in the flood waters through the village to the beach at high tide. Those who continue their round tour from Neuharlingersiel cycle through meadows and pastures back to Wittmund. Alternatively, you can cycle along the coast to Esens and take the train back to Wittmund on your own.
Overnight place: Like the day before in Wittmund
The journey to Harlesiel takes a short route, which you can reach after 15 km.
If you want, you can take a day trip to the island of Wangerooge and/or to the seal banks on your own. The return trip from Harlesiel leads along the coast and the dyke, then inland to the "Wangermeer", a bathing lake near Hohenkirchen. The journey back to Wittmund takes you partly along beautifully laid out cycle paths and partly along old railway lines.

After breakfast your star tour ends in Wittmund. If rental bikes are booked, they remain in the hotel. You will travel home on your own.
