Option 1: Hike Rügens chalk coast with Königsstuhl & National Park
After breakfast, travel by regional train (included) to Sassnitz. On one of Germany's most beautiful hiking trails, you'll hike along the steep cliffs of the chalk cliffs, 50-100 meters above sea level, and enjoy the expansive views of the Baltic Sea in ever-changing variations. Admission and a visit to the National Park Museum are possible at your own expense. A beautiful view of the Königsstuhl is available free of charge from the Victoria Viewpoint. Return by train (included) to Stralsund.
Option 2: Hike to the white residential town of Putbus
By train (incl.) to Binz to the starting point of your hike. Along the Binz promenade, your path leads out of the seaside resort to the pirate gorge and through the wooded Granitz to the hunting lodge. From the tower of the castle you can enjoy the wide view over the island, where you can see the Mönchgut, the Greifswalder Bodden, the main island with mountains, the Jasmund with its chalk coast and in the distance in the west the Silhouette StralsundYour route continues to the coast of Stresow Bay, along whose shores you will reach Putbus, along the edge of meadows and farmland. From Putbus, the return journey to Stralsund.
