Today's stage leads from Potsdam to the oldest town in Brandenburg and the cradle of the Mark to Brandenburg along the Havel. First it goes over the Havel to the flower city of Werder. Tranquil Haveld villages with village churches are on the way. Follow the course of the Havel, which flows through many lakes on your way to Brandenburg.

Before continuing your journey through the West Havelland, you should not miss a visit to the Cathedral of Saint Peter & Paul. You should also see the old town hall with Roland, preserved parts of the city wall, and the Quitzow house, one of the most beautiful Renaissance buildings in the city. Around the Breitlingsee and Plauer See, your tour through the Haveltal and the Westhavelland Nature Park leads mainly on quiet country roads and forest paths to Rathenow.

The optics park in Rathenow offers interesting experiences. On the Havelland cycle path you cycle through a wide, open lowland landscape in the direction of Nauen.
The most famous place on this stage is probably the village of Ribbeck. Fontane's poem about the pear tree by "Mr. Ribbeck auf Ribbeck im Havelland" made him famous.

In Nauen, you should visit the historic old town and the transmitters of the radio office. On the further way to Oranienburg you mainly cycle through forest areas. A special attraction is the exhibition and leisure center in Paaren. Ceramic fans should plan a little detour to Velten. The oven and ceramics museum and the Hedwig-Bollhage exhibition are an impressive experience.
