Germany's easternmost city boasts one of the most beautiful old towns in Europe. More than 4.000 listed buildings from various eras give Görlitz a unique flair. Take a stroll through the historic old town and enjoy the special atmosphere on the Neisse River.

They leave Görlitz and initially follow the Oder-Neiße-Cycle path along the German-Polish border. The route leads through quiet villages, unspoiled river landscapes and extensive forests of Upper Lusatia. The day's destination is Bad Muskau with the UNESCO World Heritage Site Fürst-Pückler-Park, one of the most important landscape parks in Europe.

Today's stage leads through Lower Lusatia and past the remnants of former lignite mining, many of which are now being transformed into attractive lake landscapes. Quiet cycle paths will take you to the university city of Cottbus. The old town, the state theatre, and Branitz Park are all worth a visit.

Through the expansive forests and meadows of the Spreewald Biosphere Reserve, you'll reach the heart of this unique water landscape. Numerous waterways, traditional Sorbian culture, and typical Spreewald houses characterize the scenery. Spend the afternoon taking a boat trip or exploring the historic old town.
Overnight location: Lübbenau / Lübben
You leave the Spreewald forest and cycle through the charming lake district of Brandenburg. The route leads through forests, past clear lakes and small villages. Wendisch Rietz on Lake Scharmützel or the historic town of Storkow with its castle offer ideal conditions for a relaxing evening by the water.
Overnight stay: Wendisch Rietz / Storkow
On your final leg, the Brandenburg lake district accompanies you to the outskirts of Berlin. Passing the Müggelsee and through the extensive forests in the southeast of the capital, you gradually enter the urban life of the metropolis. Passing the East Side Gallery and following the Spree River, you reach the historic center with the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and Museum Island.
