Check-in at the hotel - additional nights before the trip are possible upon request.

Overnight stay in Porto

Transfer from the hotel to the bike handover at 8:00 am. - Begin your cycling holiday with a personal briefing. After bike fitting, you'll be ready for the tour and depart Porto along the Douro River and the Foz do Douro to the Atlantic Ocean. After Matosinhos, known for its delicious seafood in the port area, the flat pilgrimage route follows elevated walkways along beautiful sandy beaches and dunes. The route takes you to Vila do Conde, a beautiful town with a medieval center, an impressive aqueduct, and a historic caravel on the riverbank.

Accommodation location: Vila do Conde

Today's stage takes you entirely along cycle paths, small roads, and cobblestone sections. You'll reach Póvoa de Varzim and Esposende (ideal for a break) before heading north along sandy beaches. Viana do Castelo, your destination, is overlooked by the Santuário de Santa Luzia. This beautiful city captivates visitors with its car-free old town, Renaissance palaces, delicate gold jewelry, and traditional cod fishing.

Overnight location: Viana do Castelo

The last day in Portugal is a flat ride along the Ecovia through dunes and pine forests to Caminha (a historic old town with a listed monument). After Moledo and Vila Praia de Âncora, you cross the Minho River, which forms the border. In Spain, you reach A Guarda – the lobster capital – with its colorful houses. Tip: Taking the ferry in Caminha saves you 20 km.

Accommodation location: A Guarda

From A Guarda, you cycle along the spectacular coast of the Rías Baixas. Coastal paths lead through villages to the historic town of Baiona (the first port to receive news from America). After passing sandy beaches near Nigrán, the stage ends in the urban center of Vigo, which blends maritime and metropolitan life.

Overnight stay in Vigo

Despite its short distance, this stage features three climbs, rewarded with panoramic views of Vigo. After a descent to Redondela (coffee break), the coastal and central routes merge. The destination is Pontevedra, whose old town enchants with its aristocratic palaces, stone architecture, and squares bathed in the evening light.

Overnight stay: Pontevedra

Discover the verdant landscapes of Galicia along scenic paths through vineyards. Along the way, you'll pass the waterfall on the Rio Barosa and the thermal spa town of Caldas de Reis. Your destination is Padrón, home of the famous small green peppers. Be sure to sample this Galician delicacy: "Some are hot, some are not."

Accommodation location: Padrón

The short and emotionally charged final stage leads you from Padrón through forests to the last climb. At the finish line, the Plaza del Obradoiro, your pilgrimage ends: feel the profound sense of fulfillment before the majestic cathedral. Collect your Compostela certificate at the Pilgrim's Office.
