Come with us on a hike Stralsund to the sea baths Rügens. In four stages you will hike from the old Hanseatic city across the Strelasund through the south of the island. You will pass places where 200 years ago the painter Caspar David Friedrich captured the island's landscape on his sketchbook. You will see the island's stunningly beautiful coastline all the way to the Greifswalder Bodden. You will hike through meadows and fields, where you can see quiet island lakes, farms and thatched farmhouses. At the end of your hike you will reach the seaside resorts and enjoy the wide view of the sea.

Over the Ziegelgrabenbrücke and the old one Rügendamm follow the pedestrian path to the Altefahrer Ufer. On your further way you immerse yourself in the silence and vastness of the island landscape and hike through the first part westrügens to your quarters near Gustow or Poseritz. You stay overnight in a country hotel/country pension.

Today you cross south of the oldest city RügenFrom Garz, the southwest of the island towards Neukamp and Lauterbach near Putbus. In good visibility, you can see the church towers of Greifswald on the horizon to the south, across the Greifswald Bodden, and the island of V to the east.ilm with the coast of the Mönchgut behind it.

Putbus Castle Park is full of fragrant wild garlic. You follow the course of the coast via Lauterbach to Stresow Bay, one of the most beautiful and idyllic sections of the island. With the scent of the Baltic Sea in your nose and the wind in your hair, you can hike either over the Granitz to Binz or past the Granitz to Sellin.
Overnight stay: Binz or Sellin
Relax in the seaside resorts of Binz or Sellin. If you wish, you can also use this day for another coastal hike through the Granitz, which you can hike along the steep banks between the seaside resorts. Alternatively, you can hike a bit through the Mönchgut near Baabe.
