Hike around the Müritz

Waren not only has the Müritz, the largest German lake. This hiking day takes you around two other lakes that surround the city area - Tiefwarensee and Feisneck. Together they form the "Warenhe eight". These hiking stages can easily be varied.

Overnight place: As in the day before Waren

The Müritz National Park borders directly on the city area. You hike along the banks of the Müritz and to the national park lakes Warnker See and around the Rederang See to Schwarzenhof. Observation towers offer the first impression of the large water surface of the "Small Sea". The peace and seclusion of the protected area is a blessing for people and animals.

Overnight place: Schwarzenhof, Boek or surrounding area

From Boek your hike continues around the Wotzerfitzsee and its ponds through light pine forests to Mirow. Explore the castle island in Mirow with the baroque castle of the Mecklenburg dukes and learn more about the story of the three queens.

Wide, open landscapes allow wonderful views over the southern Müritz region. The estate ensemble in Bollewick or Ludorf is a typical example of agriculture in Mecklenburg in the 18th and 19th centuries. Century. The church towers of Röbel greet you from afar. This small town is known for its colorful half-timbered houses.

Overnight place: Zielow, Bollewick or Röbel

Predominantly wide landscapes characterize this stage. The view is only interrupted by short stretches of forest. But you can also feel that you are approaching the center of the Mecklenburg Lake District again. Cafes, harbours, fish smokehouses, beaches, holiday homes and campsites are on the way. On the promenade at the Kietz you reach the center of again Waren. The hike can be completed by boat trip (excl.) over the Müritz from Röbel or Klink Waren be shortened on their own.
