Let's go! Follow the Werra past Wasungen with its half-timbered old town surrounded by defensive walls to the spa town of Bad Salzungen. Experience the revitalizing effect of the Celtic bath, unique in Germany, and end the evening with a stroll through the beautiful old town.

You continue cycling between the southern slopes of the Thuringian Forest and the impressive peaks of the Rhön. Treat yourself to a break in the historic old town of Vacha. You will soon reach Heringen, famous for the Werra Potash Mining Museum. Here you can take tours of the "Monte Kali", the rock salt dump that can be seen from afar. Your small hotel (Cat. 1) is located at the foot of this impressive "sugar loaf".

Many lakes and nature reserves line your way along the meandering Werra, and you will soon reach Eisenach. Take enough time to visit the Wartburg and also visit the places where famous sons of the city worked, for example in the Bachhaus or in the Lutherhaus.

The river meanders gently through a wonderful low mountain landscape, past vertical limestone cliffs and medieval villages and towns. Art on the cycle path: Sculptures by well-known artists line the banks in the Werra-Meißner-Land. Take a refreshing stop in the brine exercise pool in Bad Soden-Allendorf. You roll through the “land of cherries” around Witzenhausen to Hann. Münden, which offers a closed medieval cityscape and the Guelph Castle. End the day with a stroll.
