Look forward to this circular tour and enjoy two nights' accommodation directly at the winemaker's, three wine tastings and varied cycle paths through four wine-growing regions (Nahe, Rheinhessen, Rheingau, Mittelrhein). You cycle through the Nahe Valley on well-developed cycle paths, a wonderful wine landscape that impresses above all with its steep slopes. In the Rheinhessen wine-growing region, let yourself be inspired by the rolling hills and in the Rheingau by the top locations of German Riesling. Here you can visit such famous producers as Kloster Eberbach or Schloss Vollrads. Look forward to a fantastic day by bike and boat on the romantic Middle Rhine (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Every day you will be spoiled by us with an extra tip on the subject of wine. Sometimes we recommend you a special vinotheque, sometimes a winery with a bar, a museum or a tip for going out. You often cycle in the middle of the vineyards, partly on cycle paths and partly on paved service roads that are only open to winegrower vehicles, cyclists and hikers.

Day 1: Rüdesheim Arrival
In Rüdesheim, take a varied ride on the chairlift to the Niederwald monument, stroll through the famous Drosselgasse and visit the unique “Rhein-WeinWelt” wine shop. Here you can taste wines from more than 70 winegrowers in a historical ambience.
Day 2: Bad Kreuznach (Nahe) 51 km
A ferry ride across the Rhine and you're in Bingen at the mouth of the Nahe. Cycle to Bad Kreuznach on the Nahe cycle path. Marvel at the extensive spa park with its graduation towers, healing springs and water wheels, which together form Europe's largest open-air inhalatorium. From here you can start an interesting round trip through the Nahe valley. You cycle romantically embedded between spectacular rock formations, discover the largest steep face between the Alps and Scandinavia in Rotenfels and can visit a winegrower in Schloßböckelheim.
Day 3: Flonheim (Rheinhessen) 47 – 55 km
Today you cycle through the Alsenztal, following a beautiful cycle path, on which you also have to climb a few hills, into the Appelbachtal, which will take you to the Rheinhessen wine-growing region. The vast vineyards now come into view. Look forward to Neu-Bamberg with its medieval atmosphere and typical wine towns such as Wöllstein and Flonheim. Here you spend the night directly with the winemaker, where a wine tasting awaits you in the evening.
Day 4: Nierstein (Rheinhessen) 47 km
In the morning you climb up into the surrounding vineyards with a fantastic all-round view before you reach the old town of Alzey. Small wine villages such as Gau-Odernheim, Hillesheim and Wintersheim are idyllically located along the way. On the Rheinterrassen cycle path you cycle to Oppenheim to the German Wine Museum, which presents 2000 years of wine culture in a multifaceted way. With almost 1000 hectares of vineyards, nearby Nierstein is the largest wine-growing community on the Rhine. In the evening you can look forward to a wine tasting directly at the winemaker.
Day 5: Eltville (Rheingau) 42 km
On the left the wine, on the right the Rhine, this is how you cycle the first flat kilometers in the morning to the old town of Mainz. Marvel at the Romanesque cathedral, the electoral castle and the Gutenberg Museum, all outstanding sights of this lively city. Due to the numerous wine bars and modern vinotheques, Mainz is considered the wine capital. After a worthwhile break, cycle with pleasure on the Rhine Cycle Path towards the Rheingau. Winding paths through the vines lead you in the afternoon to the wine, sparkling wine and rose town of Eltville. Stroll along the wonderful Rhine promenade and marvel at the rose garden and the electoral castle before you cycle comfortably to the hotel.
Day 6: Ruedesheim (Rheingau) 28 / 40 km
Today you cycle through the vineyards of the Rheingau to Kiedrich with its historic town center and the venerable St. Valentinuskirche, the “little Gothic treasure chest”. Marvel at the oldest playable organ in Germany (around 1500) and the hand-carved stalls (16th century). Visit the former Cistercian abbey Kloster Eberbach, with its historic wine presses and the abbey museum. You then cycle through the vineyards to the Riesling winery Schloss Vollrads, one of the oldest wineries in Germany, and to Schloss Johannisberg with its wonderful sun terrace. From Rüdesheim we recommend a nice round trip (12 km) on panoramic paths through the vineyards to Assmannshausen and back along the banks of the Rhine.
Day 7: Middle Rhine wine-growing region 32 km
Enjoy a romantic Rhine boat trip from Rüdesheim to the Loreley in the morning. Marvel at this unique cultural landscape (UNESCO World Heritage Site) from the sun deck, before you slowly cycle back to Rüdesheim from St. Goar on the well-developed Rhine cycle path at the foot of steep vineyards. Literally in every village there is a street with taverns, wine bars or taverns. In Oberwesel, marvel at the almost completely preserved town wall and stroll through historic streets with colorful half-timbered houses in Bacharach. At the end of your bike tour, another interesting wine tasting awaits you in Rüdesheim in the evening.
