This round tour offers 2 overnight stays directly at the winemaker's, 3 wine tastings and varied cycle paths through 4 wine-growing regions. Enjoy the wine landscape of the Nahe Valley with its wonderfully steep slopes, the gentle hilly landscape in the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen and let yourself be inspired by the top vineyards of German Riesling in the Rheingau. Here you can visit famous producers such as Eberbach Monastery or Vollrads Castle. A fantastic day by bike and boat awaits you on the romantic Middle Rhine (UNESCO World Heritage Site). We will spoil you with an extra tip every day. Sometimes we recommend a special wine shop, sometimes a winery with a bar, a museum or a tip for going out. You often cycle in the middle of the vineyards, partly on cycle paths and partly on asphalt farm roads that are only open to winegrowers' vehicles, cyclists and hikers.

Weinberge am Rhein in den Rheinweinanbaugebieten

In Rüdesheim, take a varied ride on the chairlift to the Niederwald monument, stroll through the famous Drosselgasse and visit the unique “Rhein-WeinWelt” wine shop. Here you can taste wines from more than 70 winegrowers in a historical ambience.

Overnight place: Rudesheim

A ferry trip across the Rhine and you are in Bingen (own management) at the mouth of the Nahe. On the Nahe cycle path you cycle to Bad Kreuznach. Marvel at the extensive spa park with its graduation towers, healing springs and water wheels, which together form Europe's largest open-air inhalatorium. From here you start an interesting circular tour through the Nahe Valley. You cycle romantically embedded between spectacular rock formations, discover the largest steep wall between the Alps and Scandinavia in Rotenfels and can visit a winemaker in Schloßböckelheim.

Overnight place: Bad Kreuznach

Overnight place: Flonheim

In the morning you go up into the surrounding vineyards with a fantastic panoramic view before you reach the old town of Alzey. Small wine towns such as Gau-Odernheim, Hillesheim and Wintersheim are idyllically located along the way. On the Rhine Terrace cycle path you cycle to Oppenheim to the German Viticulture Museum, which presents 2000 years of viticulture culture in a diverse manner. With almost 1000 hectares of vineyards, nearby Nierstein is the largest wine-growing community on the Rhine. In the evening, look forward to a wine tasting directly from the winemaker.

Overnight place: kidney stone

The wine on the left, the Rhine on the right, so in the morning you cycle the first flat kilometers to the old town of Maine.g. Marvel at the Romanesque cathedral, the electoral palace and the Gutenberg Museum, all outstanding sights in this lively city. Mainz is considered the wine capital due to the numerous wine bars and modern wine shops. After a worthwhile break, you can enjoy cycling along the Rhine cycle path towards the Rheingau. In the afternoon, winding paths through the vines lead you to the wine, sparkling wine and rose town of Eltville. Stroll along the beautiful Rhine promenade and marvel at the rose garden and the Electoral Castle before cycling comfortably to the hotel.

Overnight place: Eltville

Today you cycle through the vineyards of the Rheingau to Kiedrich with its historic town center and the venerable St. Valentinus Church, the “treasure chest of the Gothic”. Marvel at the oldest still playable organ in Germany (around 1500) and the hand-carved stalls (16th century). Visit the former Cistercian abbey Kloster Eberbach, with its historic wine presses and the abbey museum. You then cycle through the vineyards to the Schloss Vollrads Riesling winery, one of the oldest wineries in Germany, and to Johannisberg Castle with its wonderful sun terrace. From Rüdesheim we recommend a beautiful circular tour (12 km) on panoramic paths through the vineyards to Assmannshausen and back along the banks of the Rhine.

Overnight place: Rudesheim

In the morning, enjoy a romantic Rhine boat trip (inclusive) from Rüdesheim to the Loreley. Marvel at this unique cultural landscape (UNESCO World Heritage Site) from the sun deck before slowly cycling back to Rüdesheim from St. Goar on the well-developed Rhine cycle path at the foot of steep vineyard slopes. Literally in every village there is an alley with ostrich taverns, wine bars or taverns. In Oberwesel, marvel at the almost completely preserved city wall and stroll through historic streets with colorful half-timbered houses in Bacharach. At the end of your cycling trip, another interesting wine tasting awaits you in Rüdesheim in the evening.
