Individual arrival in Rotterdam-Schiedam. Embarkation at approximately 16:00 PM. You may have time beforehand to visit Rotterdam's magnificent Market Hall. The Dutch call it their "answer to the Sistine Chapel." At approximately 18:00 PM, a boat sails to Dordrecht, the oldest city in Holland, impressively situated between three major rivers.

Early in the morning your ship will take you to Willemstad, a small, worth seeing fortress town from the 17th/18th century. The tranquil town captivates with its freshly caught fish, which can be tasted in many restaurants. Here you start your first bike tour. You cross the inland waters Haringvliet using the Volkerakdam and cycle across open fields and through picturesque farming villages to the popular water sports resort Hellevoetsluis.

Before embarking on your cycling tour along Zeeland's cycle paths , you should explore the expansive harbor and visit the old lighthouse in the south of the city. You'll cycle across the Haringvliet and through small villages like Stellendam , agricultural towns like Melissant , and watersports resorts like Herkingen with its large marina. Crossing the Grevelingendam, you'll reach the mussel village of Bruinisse . A stroll along the harbor in the north of the city is a must for every visitor.

Today, during your bike tour, you can visit the Flood Museum . Here you'll learn all about the great flood disaster of 1953 and the "drowned" village of Viane, which was submerged and never rebuilt. Continue towards Zierikzee , one of the ten most beautiful historic towns in the Netherlands. The "Thick Tower" rises high above the town . A detour to the historic center is well worth it. Afterwards, you'll cycle across the Zeeland Bridge – an impressive 5-kilometer-long structure built on 54 pillars – to your destination for the day: the harbor town of Veere . Where once richly laden ships from Scotland docked, today you'll find impressive yachts.

Experience the quintessential Dutch landscape on today's bike tour through Zeeland. Discover the former working island of Neeltje Jans , which was created specifically for the construction of the Oosterschelde storm surge barrier , the impressive Delta Works structure . You'll have the opportunity to admire the locks not only up close but also from the inside. The adjacent Deltapark leisure park offers insights into the lives of sea lions and the underwater world of the Oosterschelde (optional).
Your first stop on this cycling tour is Middelburg , the capital of Zeeland . The city boasts a rich history and was once the second most important city in the Netherlands after Amsterdam. Numerous shops and cafés invite you to explore. During an optional city tour , you'll have the opportunity to learn all sorts of interesting and informative facts about this charming city. The tour continues through the picturesque, typically Dutch landscape of the Walcheren peninsula . Expansive beaches, forests, and dunes await you. Nowhere else in the Netherlands does the sun shine as often and for as long as here.
On the final cycling stage, you'll experience the most famous windmills in the Netherlands at Kinderdijk . These 19 well-preserved mills date back to the 18th century and have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site . A visit is highly recommended! Your route then continues along the Maas River to Rotterdam . Take the opportunity to enjoy a harbor cruise through Europe's largest deep-water port and admire the skyline and impressive architecture from the water.

MS NORMANDY
The MS Normandie is a comfortable mid-range ship for cycling and boat trips in the Netherlands. A personal and friendly atmosphere awaits you on board. The ship accommodates up to 100 passengers and is ideally suited for trips through South Holland, Zeeland, and the water-rich regions around Rotterdam.

Bringing your own bicycle: Due to limited space on the sun deck, bringing your own bicycle is only possible upon request and subject to availability. We exclude all liability for loss, theft, or damage – this also applies to damage incurred during transport from the ship to shore and back.
Excursion program: Bookable exclusively directly on board. A brief description will be provided with your travel documents. Depending on the group composition, excursions may be offered bilingually in German and English.
Schedule and program changes are always possible. If, for example, a section of the route cannot be navigated due to low or high water levels or bad weather, the captain reserves the right to change the route for your safety (this is not grounds for a free cancellation). The same applies to lock and/or bridge repairs ordered by authorities and not announced in advance.
We recommend that you wear a bicycle helmet. We offer bicycle helmets (UVEX I-VO, limited quantities) for sale on board at a price of € 45 per piece.
Travel documents: EU citizens (without special circumstances, e.g., dual citizenship, primary residence abroad, or temporary travel documents) require a valid identity card or passport for this trip, which must be valid for at least six months after the end of the trip. If you hold a different citizenship or multiple citizenships, or if you are subject to special legal regulations, please inquire about the respective visa and entry requirements at your relevant consulate.
