the dream bike tour ever

The bike tour is worth every penny it costs. It was the most beautiful Baltic Sea bike tour ever. You should consider whether you really go to Hiddensee on the first day or instead do an approx. 80-90 km long tour of the island Rügen via Waase and Gingst to Tribbevitz, the Rügan hinterland is so gorgeous! The individual stages are based on the next available accommodation, which must be in a manor house or castle and are sometimes quite long, such as from Tribbevitz to Spyker Castle or the next day from Spyker Castle to Sellin. But you regularly come to smaller places where you can take a break and eat, it is advisable to buy food and drinks on the way because the accommodations are sometimes beautifully secluded. On this bike tour you see everything, from the quiet hinterland to the beautiful, touristically untouched north, the seaside resorts and Prora and a wonderful hotel in Sellin and at the end of the tour the rather unknown south of the island. You can vary the bike tours yourself, especially in the south, so that it is possible to ride parts of the route with the Raging Roland, bikes can be taken there. I enjoyed this bike tour to the end and I still look at the pictures I took back then. Due to an incident in one of the hotels regarding the luggage, I unfortunately have to deduct a star from the topic "accommodation".

with a steady wind from castle to castle

beautiful bike ride Rügens blue-green landscape, always accompanied by wind and songbirds. As can be seen from the evaluation, there is actually nothing to complain about, only the maps in the route description could be a bit larger and the copies a bit clearer. As a married couple, we had to ask three times at the Hotel "Bernstein" in Sellin before we received 2 badges for our room on the second day, although this hotel advertisedilm a married couple shows that they have a completely different daily schedule. Has never happened in our 40 years of vacation together! Very good information for the ship transfer from Hiddensee to Breege.

Fantastically beautiful - unforgettable!

It was our first multi-day bike tour ever and we are still very excited! For this tour we chose “Zu Rügens castles and manor houses” because according to the course of the tour, the north-east and the middle of the Rügenhe Muttlands and the island of Hiddensee were visited. Of course, we were also looking forward to the accommodations in a manor house or castle! That after our train journey via Berlin Stralsund Our first hotel was just a few minutes' walk from the train station, which gave us the feeling of a very well organized tour, which was confirmed by the support given when we took over the booked bikes and the very informative travel documents (including extremely practical luggage labels for the entire tour). The bike tour itself exceeded our expectations and we were pleasantly surprised by the unexpectedly large variety Rügens shown: Stralsund with its magnificent brick buildings, narrow streets and ponds, the tranquil island of Hiddensee with its almost untouched beauty, the Muttland with many manors and estates hidden behind trees, the Ralswiek lake stage, the seemingly endless expanses of Wittow and the impressive Cape Arkona, the Schaabe, the Jasmund National Park, the chalk cliffs, Sassnitz, Prora, the seaside resorts with the famous resort architecture, the Mönchgut with its pastures and the fantastically beautiful Land Zicker. The routes were very well described in our travel documents and varied in length and intensity. We found it very pleasant to be able to stay in the same accommodation for two nights in some cases. The luggage transport worked absolutely reliably at all times. All accommodations (Am Jungfernstieg Stralsund, Gut Tribbevitz, Schloss Spyker and Hotel Bernstein in Sellin) were very well chosen and impressed us with their special location, very nice and good facilities, hospitality and culinary delights. We enjoyed every moment of this tour! The enjoyment continues, as we often and always like to remember the many unforgettable experiences and enjoy the beautiful photos.
