Take advantage of that Map of the Fulda cycle path, to get a first impression of the length of the route sections.
The starting point of this family-friendly bike tour is the Hessian town of Gersfeld. Here you can start your cycle tour with a hike through the Rhön biosphere reserve. From there you start in the wild and romantic Rhön at an altitude of 950 m and follow the well-signposted Fulda cycle path down into the valley. Meadows and fields line the Fulda river landscape. On your cycle tour you will cross the federal states of Hesse and Lower Saxony to Hann. Münden, where the confluence of the Werra and Fulda to form the Weser is located. Hann. Münden can also be used as a starting point for the Weser cycle path. Numerous towns and villages will be on your way, including Fulda, Schlitz, Bad Hersfeld, Cuxhaven and the university town of Kassel.
All in all is one Fulda bike tour a highly interesting experience in terms of landscape and culture, which is easy and relaxing to master even for untrained cyclists due to the mostly falling or flat route.
