Learn moreThe sailing ship Mare fan Fryslân was built in 1960 as a cargo vessel, completely rebuilt and renovated in 2006, and has been sailing Dutch waters since 2007 as a very comfortable, beautiful, and extravagant three-masted schooner. The sails can be operated both manually and electrically.
There are fourteen comfortable cabins on the lower deck. These include twelve double cabins (9 m²) with two separate beds that can be pushed together, one junior suite (11 m²) with two separate beds that can be pushed together and a small sitting area, and one single cabin (6 m²). A fold-down bed is also available in all double cabins. Each cabin has a shower with toilet and sink. All cabins feature ventilation, heating, and portholes that can be opened. A hairdryer and a mini-safe are also provided in each cabin.
On the lower deck, the Mare fan Fryslân offers a cozy, wood-paneled lounge/restaurant area with air conditioning, creating a warm and stylish ambiance. From here, you can access the wheelhouse on the upper deck, which features a large seating area, a well-stocked bar, a music and video system, and a television. Large windows all around the deck offer stunning views of the water. Wi-Fi is available. The wooden deck provides ample seating, a helm station, an outdoor bar with a beer tap and grill, a hot tub, and space for bicycles. In good weather, you can relax here and enjoy the view while cruising.
